My name is Keith Swank. I am a United States Army Airborne Infantry veteran, and a thirty-year veteran Police Commander.
I am running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington's Congressional District 8.

The U.S. has enough natural resources to be energy independent, as well as become one of the world’s top energy exporters.
We must have more freedom to choose the coverage we need, to be able to take that coverage with us no matter who we work for and to get the government out of the equation when it comes to healthcare decisions.
I am running because I believe that our nation is “broken” and needs some fresh ideas to “fix” it. Never in my lifetime have I seen the country as divided as it has become over the last decade. Discussing politics has become all out combat, and if you’re not on the “right team” you are the enemy.
This is not what our country was founded to be. We were founded to be the “melting pot” of people from many cultures bringing their ideas and melding them with the communities around them to form a stronger nation.
I believe, in part, the problem lies with the culture in D.C. For too long we have had career politicians who bring the same problems, and the same proposed solutions every election, and we elect them expecting a different result. That is the definition of insanity.
It is time to get new people, and new ideas, into Congress so that we can begin to see a return to common sense government. A return to understanding that government is to work for the people, not the other way around.
I see my opponent as more of the same. Since she took office, she has voted for the same failed policies that have led us to where we are today.
I would like to invite you to learn more about who I am, what I stand for and why I believe I can make a real difference in Congress. If, after looking this over, you believe I could make the kind of difference you are looking for, I would ask for your support and vote in 2020.
God bless you, and God bless America.
Keith R. Swank
